The Great Gatsby | Styled Shoot

The Photography Stylistas are at it again! After the success of our 1st styled shoot earlier this year, we planned for our 2nd styled shoot this fall. I could never imagine a year ago being apart of such an amazing group of photographers. From the way each of us work together to how we handle any situations we come across, these girls hands down are the best I’ve ever worked with!

Since the new Great Gastby movie is right around the corner, we thought it would be neat if we rewrote an alternative ending. Where Jay Gastby and Daisy Buchanan would get married in a secret Chicago location. Only having their best friends Nick and Jordan join them as the bridesmaid and groomsmen.

RPM Italian was the perfect choice for this “secret” Chicago venue. Located just north of the Chicago river, RPM Italian was not only modern but had a swanky 1920’s flair. From the venue to the invitations/details done by Molly Jacques, one word comes to mind and it is STUNNING! I can’t express how amazing this shoot turned out. I believe I broke out my happy dance (a couple times) during the shoot, due to the pure excitement of it all.

A huge thank you to all our wonderful vendors (see below)! We could not have pulled off this beautiful shoot without each and ever one of you.

Another shout out goes to my girls the Photography Stylistas (Robyn Schwab, Dominique Strom, Keren Chookaszian, Nikole Burrel Fasoranti, Zipporah Kapambwe, Heather Hart, Jenny Chavez, Jill Tiongco and Katrina Mather). I’m so thankful to call each of you friends and even more excited to see what the future holds for us.

Lastly this shoot wouldn’t be complete without the quote that started it all…“He knew that when he kissed this girl, and forever wed his unutterable visions to her perishable breath, his mind would never romp again like the mind of God. So he waited, listening for a moment longer to the tuning-fork that had been struck upon a star. Then he kissed her. At his lips’ touch she blossomed for him like a flower and the incarnation was complete.” – The Great Gatsby

Hope you enjoy and have a wonderful weekend!
